Meet Cait
After taking a few years away from professional photography to raise her family, Cait is returning to the work she loves, now based in her home community of Northport, Long Island. Her photography is adventurous, intimate, artful —focused less on perfect poses and more on the relationships, personalities, and fleeting moments that make a family unique.
She served as the exclusive photographer for Lincoln Center Education and the Lincoln Center Accessibility program, and spent years shooting events for the David Rubenstein Atrium. She worked as Studio Manager at Neo Studios in SoHo and as a Teaching Assistant at the International Center of Photography, assisting Lightroom classes and managing Dark Room facilities.
Cait holds a Certificate in Photography from Pratt Institute in New York and an undergraduate in Arts Administration from Macaulay Honors College. She has exhibited and curated photography exhibits in Brooklyn (where she grew up) and Long Island (where she is now based) - most recently her viral Maternity in Quarantine series at the Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition and "State of Grace," a photographic exhibition at the Southampton Arts Center showcasing young Long Island artists.
Alongside her institutional and artistic work, she spent years building her own photography business, photographing weddings, families, events, and headshots throughout Long Island and New York. Her work has also supported causes close to her heart, donating her time and photography to cancer research fundraising events.
Alongside photography, Cait is a ceramicist and lifelong maker. Her creative practice continues to expand through ceramics and knitting. She can be found running around after her three young children on Main Street or Crab Meadow, or taking her dog on long walks in the woods.
